Atterberg limits are important index parameters used to classify soils for various engineering applications. Engineering properties of predicted through simple correlations with and thereby the behavior qualitatively assessed. There two popular methods determining liquid limit, plastic limit is commonly determined adopting rolling thread methods. To avoid operator related variations in by conventional method, some researchers have explored using cone method as an alternative. However, there no consensus about depth penetration reckon end state. Though other test been developed determine (like roll plate device), its limitation determining
 only both soils. Since laboratory vane shear a reliable undrained strength fine-grained soils, authors between water content over range consistencies states. This would eliminate separately without sacrificing reliability results.
